Handfasting

A handfasting is a Pagan Wedding. It's a wonderful celebration for people who feel that a traditional wedding is not for them. Handfasting is for everyone. No one is excluded. The ceremony itself is based on ancient pagan beliefs and because there are no hard and fast rules, you can customise your ceremony to suit you.

Every handfasting is different - that's what makes them so special.

If you have always wanted to be a mediaeval princess, or get married on the beach, if you want your dog to be 'best man' or to exchange your vows under the stars, then go ahead!  The ceremony is yours to make as wonderful as you can.

Some of my couples have a themed wedding - mediaeval, hippy, formal or fairytale. You can choose your own music, rings, attire, and decorations.  The result is always magical. I have conducted Handfastings in forests, on beaches, at ruined churches, in gardens, even underground - places that have a special significance for the bride and groom.
